Symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.

Adults and adolescents weighing more than 50 kg (approximately 15 years).

Pregnancy

DALFEINE, comprimé pelliculé is not recommended during pregnancy due to the increased risk of low birth weight and spontaneous abortion associated with caffeine consumption.

Related to paracetamol:

A vast amount of data concerning pregnant women demonstrates the absence of any malformation or any foetal/neonatal toxicity. Epidemiological studies dedicated to the neurodevelopment of children exposed to paracetamol in utero produce inconclusive results.

Breastfeeding

Preferably, the intake of DALFEINE, comprimé pelliculé is to be avoided during breastfeeding. If use is deemed necessary, the medicine must be administered just after breastfeeding. Caffeine may have a stimulating effect on breastfed infants, but significant caffeine toxicity has not been observed in breastfed infants. Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk but not in clinically significant quantities.

Fertility

There is no data available concerning the influence of DALFEINE, comprimé pelliculé on human fertility.

Related to paracetamol:

Due to its potential mechanism of action on cyclo-oxygenase synthesis and prostaglandin synthesis, paracetamol could affect female fertility, by a reversible effect on ovulation.

The effects of paracetamol on male fertility have been observed in an animal study. The relevance of these effects in humans is unknown.

DALFEINE, film-coated tablets has no effect or a negligible effect on the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
