Pharmacotherapeutic class: NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY (M: locomotor system), ATC code: M01AC02 This medicine is indicated in adults and children from 15 years of age: In long-term treatment of: · certain chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases, · certain severe osteoarthritis. In short-term treatment of: · certain inflammations around the joints (tendinitis, bursitis, acute painful shoulder), · pains and oedemas related to trauma, · acute osteoarthritis pains, · acute low back pains related to nerve irritation.

Uses
They stem from the anti-inflammatory activity of tenoxicam, the importance of the intolerance manifestations to which the medicine gives rise, and its place in the range of anti-inflammatory products currently available.
They are limited in adults and children from 15 years of age onwards to:
· Long-term symptomatic treatment:
o of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, notably rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis or related syndromes, such as Fiessinger - Leroy - Reiter syndrome and psoriatic rheumatism;
o of certain painful and disabling arthroses.
· Short-term symptomatic treatment of acute flare-ups of:
o abarticular rheumatism, such as scapulohumeral periarthritis, tendinitis, bursitis;
o acute post-traumatic affections of the locomotor system;
o arthroses;
o severe lumboradiculalgias.
Driving
Warn patients of the possible onset of dizziness.
