Clinical Guidance

How to assess symptoms and act early

For plastic and reconstructive care in Marrakech, urgent review is useful when post-procedure healing or soft tissue injury shows worsening signs.

Symptom guide

Plastic surgery triage prioritizes bleeding, infection signs, tissue perfusion, wound integrity, and functional impact after trauma or procedures.

When to request same-day medical help

  • Post-procedure swelling, asymmetry, or pain is worsening over time.
  • Wound healing is delayed with persistent redness or discharge.
  • Scar or soft-tissue injury is causing functional discomfort.
  • Trauma-related laceration or tissue defect needs specialist closure planning.

Emergency warning signs (call now)

  • Uncontrolled post-procedure bleeding.
  • Rapidly spreading redness, fever, or severe infection signs.
  • Skin or flap color change, coldness, or severe pain suggesting perfusion issue.
  • Major facial or hand trauma with functional compromise.

What to do while waiting for the doctor

  • Keep dressings clean and dry unless advised otherwise.
  • Avoid pressure, friction, and smoking exposure on healing tissues.
  • Do not remove sutures or drains without clinical advice.
  • Document symptom progression with time-stamped photos.

Good outcomes usually come from early escalation, clear symptom tracking, and disciplined waiting steps.
