It belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressant agents. These medicines are used to reduce the body's immune reactions. In which cases is NEORAL 25 mg, soft capsule used and how does it work? · If you have had an organ, bone marrow, or stem cell transplant, the function of NEORAL is to control your immune system. NEORAL prevents the rejection of transplanted organs by blocking the development of certain cells that would otherwise attack the transplanted tissues. · If you suffer from an autoimmune disease, in which your immune system attacks your own cells, NEORAL stops this immune reaction. These diseases can be ocular conditions threatening your vision (endogenous uveitis, including Behçet's uveitis), severe forms of certain skin diseases (atopic dermatitis or eczema and psoriasis), severe rheumatoid arthritis, or a kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome.
