Indications in transplantation

Solid organ transplants

Prevention of graft rejection after solid organ transplantation.

Treatment of cellular rejection in patients previously treated with other immunosuppressive protocols.

Bone marrow transplants

Prevention of rejection after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and stem cell transplants.

Preventive or curative treatment of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).

Indications «outside transplantation»

Endogenous uveitis

Treatment of non-infectious intermediate or posterior uveitis, threatening vision, in case of failure of conventional treatment or unacceptable adverse effects of such treatment.

Treatment of Behçet's uveitis with repeated inflammatory episodes involving the retina in patients not presenting neurological manifestations.

Nephrotic syndromes

Corticosteroid-dependent and corticosteroid-resistant nephrotic syndromes due to primary glomerulopathies such as minimal glomerular lesions, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis or membranous glomerulonephritis.

NEORAL may be prescribed to induce and maintain remission. It may also be prescribed to maintain corticosteroid-induced remission, allowing for corticosteroid withdrawal.

Rheumatoid arthritis

Treatment of active and severe forms of rheumatoid arthritis.

Psoriasis

Treatment of severe forms of psoriasis, in patients for whom conventional treatment is inappropriate or ineffective.

Atopic dermatitis

NEORAL is indicated in patients with severe atopic dermatitis requiring systemic treatment.

Néoral may cause neurological and visual disturbances (see section 4.8). Néoral may have a moderate influence on the ability to drive vehicles and use machines. Caution is required when driving a motor vehicle or using machines.

No study has been conducted on the effects of Néoral on the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
