CICLOVIRAL

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the treatment of Herpes Simplex virus (HSV) infections of the skin and mucous membranes, including initial and recurrent genital herpes (excluding neonatal HSV and severe HSV infections in immunocompromised children).

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the suppression (prevention of recurrences) of recurrent Herpes simplex infections in immunocompetent patients.

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the prophylaxis of Herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients.

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by varicella (when clinically relevant) and for the treatment of Herpes zoster (shingles) infections, see section 5.1. Pharmacodynamic properties.

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the prevention of recurrences of ocular HSV infections:

· epithelial keratitis after 3 recurrences per year or in case of a known triggering factor;

· stromal keratitis and kerato-uveitis after 2 recurrences per year;

· in case of eye surgery.

ACICLOVIR EG is indicated for the treatment of HSV keratitis and kerato-uveitis.

The clinical state of the patient and the profile of the neuropsychic adverse effects of aciclovir must be taken into account to consider the patient's ability to drive vehicles and use machines.

No study has been conducted to evaluate the effects of aciclovir on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.
