Pharmacotherapeutic class: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, ATC code: M01AE03 (M: Musculo-skeletal). KETOPROFENE CRISTERS 50 mg, capsule contains kétoprofène. This medicine belongs to a family called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. These medicines are used notably to decrease inflammation and calm pain. Therapeutic indications KETOPROFENE CRISTERS 50 mg, capsule is intended for adults and adolescents from 15 years of age. This medicine is used to relieve symptoms: · in long-term treatment: o in chronic inflammatory rheumatism (inflammation of the joints), o in certain painful and disabling osteoarthritis (wear of the cartilage leading to pain in the joints and hindering movements), · in short-term treatment in painful crises affecting: o the structures surrounding the joints (tendinitis, bursitis, periarthritis), o the joints (in case of microcrystalline arthritis or osteoarthritis), o the lower back (low back pain), o in case of inflammation of a nerve (for example in case of sciatica), o in certain cases, after a trauma.

Uses
They stem from the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of ketoprofen, the importance of the intolerance manifestations to which the medicine gives rise, and its place in the range of anti-inflammatory products currently available.
They are limited, in adults and children from 15 years of age, to:
· Long-term symptomatic treatment:
o of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, notably rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (or related syndromes, such as Fiessinger-Leroy-Reiter syndrome and psoriatic rheumatism),
o of certain painful and disabling arthroses.
· Short-term symptomatic treatment of acute flare-ups:
o of abarticular rheumatism such as scapulohumeral periarthritis, tendinitis, bursitis,
o of microcrystalline arthritis,
o of arthroses,
o of low back pain,
o of radiculalgia,
o of benign acute post-traumatic affections of the locomotor system.
Driving
Warn patients of the possible onset of dizziness, drowsiness, convulsions, or visual disturbances. It is advised not to drive or operate machinery if any of these symptoms appear.
